Version 2.0.4 Release Notes – May 18, 2009

Summary

This release of OrgPlus OnDemand is an update introducing major new features as well as usability improvements.

New Features and Improvements

  • Web Publishing Improvements – providing a more robust engine for publishing your Charts to the web, including independent control over navigation limits, branch styles, colors, and available menu options.
  • Chart Revisions – see a history of changes to your Chart. Revert to an older version, or run a comparison report between revisions.
  • Enhanced Tree View navigation – With the new paging control and search capabilities, easily browse and filter through large numbers of employees.
  • Auto-Recovery for new & unsaved charts – Continue working right where you left off even after an interruption of Internet connectivity
  • UI and navigation improvements
  • Support for OrgPlus 8 file formats.

Known Issues and Limitations

  • After saving a new chart, the chart may not immediately appear in the My Charts tab. To resolve the problem, refresh the browser window.
  • Importing a chart from an OrgPlus (OPX) file is only supported for charts with 1000 or fewer boxes.

Version 2.0.3 Release Notes – January 16, 2009

Summary

This release of OrgPlus OnDemand is an incremental update to version 2.0.2 and introduces new usability features and improvements.


New Features and Improvements

  • Comprehensive online help, with Getting Started tutorial, table of contents, text search, and topic index.
  • Login page Remember Me checkbox.
  • To quickly add a new box to a chart, right-click on a box and select the new box type from the Add sub-menu. The Add sub-menu is also available in the Edit menu.
  • View settings (zoom level, show level, Profile panel, etc.) are preserved when a chart is saved, and restored when the chart is reopened.
  • The Box Style pull-down menu in the Box Properties dialog displays thumbnail previews of each available box style.
  • When a chart is re-opened following a lost session or session timeout, the user is given the option to recover any unsaved changes (auto-recovery).

Known Issues and Limitations

  • OrgPlus OnDemand currently supports OrgPlus 7 file format (and earlier). Support for OrgPlus 8 file format will be introduced in an upcoming release.
  • Importing a chart from an OrgPlus (OPX) file is only supported for charts with 1000 or fewer boxes.
  • If you close the Chart Designer window following an unexpected connection problem, immediately reopening the chart may result in a warning message indicating the chart is locked for editing. The system should automatically recover the problem, and unlock the chart after five minutes.

This release of OrgPlus OnDemand introduces major new features including:

Major Features:

    • Box Properties: Advanced chart formatting using Themes (overall appearance of chart) and Box Styles (appearance of individual boxes and fields).  Display photos within boxes.
    • Conditional Formats: Apply formatting to boxes that match user-defined criteria.
    • Legends: Create chart legends manually or automatically based on conditional formats.
    • Save as Image: Save the current view of a chart as an image file (JPEG, PNG, BMP).
    • Page Headers and Footers: Add header and footer text for printed and published charts.
    • Delta Report: Compare two revisions of a chart and generate a report.
    • Data Refresh: Re-import an OrgPlus or Excel file without affecting changes to the chart hierarchy or losing formatting changes since the original import.
    • Sharing Page Comments: Add comments when sharing a chart with other users.
