HumanConcepts Celebrates 20 Years of OrgPlus

The leading tool for workforce modeling and intelligence reaches 20 year landmark

Sausalito, Calif. – June 30, 2006 – The year was 1986. The Oprah Winfrey Show debuted on national television, the Red Sox lost the World Series by one run, the IBM personal computer celebrated its fifth birthday and the median U.S. household income was $24,897.  It was also the year OrgPlus technology was unveiled to the world, forever changing the way companies manage their most important asset – their people. This month HumanConcepts, leading provider of workforce modeling and intelligence solutions worldwide, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the product that allows human resource professionals, IT managers and executives to view their organization the way they think about their people.

“What started as a drawing tool for organizational charting has evolved into the leading application for workforce modeling and intelligence.” said Martin Sacks, CEO of HumanConcepts. “Today OrgPlus has more than 500,000 users, including more than 400 of the Fortune 500 companies, and OrgPlus technology is included in Microsoft Office, assuring OrgPlus users of the best integration with their organizations most commonly used applications. OrgPlus Enterprise supports some of the largest companies in the world in their decision making and sets the standard for integration with not only Microsoft Applications, but also SAP, Oracle and PeopleSoft and a host of other leading HRMS vendors.”

"Though organizational charting solutions have been around for a very long time, they have now matured with data integration and new features to enable strategic workforce modeling and intelligence about the entire workforce - including both contingent and full-time employees," said Bill Kutik, independent analyst of the HR technology marketplace, technology columnist for Human Resource Executive® and co-chairman of the HR Technology® Conference. "These solutions have crossed a chasm to become more than just an HR tool, but rather a powerful solution when populated with critical employee data from disparate sources."
