Import Into Master Page
« on: December 02, 2009, 08:31:15 PM »

The headers and Footers (left, center, right) for each page can be imported using the "Special" field into every sub-chart. It would be make it easier for automation purposes, if the headers & footers can be imported into the Master Page instead of having to create fields for each sub-chart.

Dear rbnoakes,

Thank you for your feature request submission.  I was hoping to get a few more details regarding what you are looking for.  If I understand correctly, you would like to have the ability import a shared header and/or footer across all sub-charts with one field entry in the data source?

As an alternative to an import directly to the Master Page, you can also create a template that contains the header and/or footer and apply that template to the newly imported chart.  Once I get confirmation of your request, I will happily send you a feature request form that can be filled out and returned, which will then be sent to our engineering team for their review and consideration.

I want to automate this. I have used the template; the headings and footers change based on the values within the imported data. The template would have to be changed on each import requiring the user to look into the database to retrive the information.
